Merseyside BioBank Local Environmental Record Centre (LERC) Data Searches
Merseyside BioBank provides environmental records and ecological data products for sites within Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and St Helens.
Data searches may be requested in support of planning applications, ecological surveys, research projects and environmental assessments.
This service is separate from MEAS Pre-Application Advice and Discretionary Advice services and is charged independently.
How the Service Works
- Submit your enquiry by email, phone or via our contact form.
- Merseyside BioBank confirms the search requirements and provides a quotation.
- The requester provides written acceptance and invoicing details.
- The search is completed and issued to the requester.
- An invoice is issued with payment due within 14 working days.

Complex Searches
Complex, bespoke, strategic and linear route searches may be subject to a bespoke quotation. Charges will depend on the area searched, complexity, urgency and level of analysis required.
Searches extending beyond the Merseyside BioBank area may qualify for reduced charges where part of the search area falls outside the coverage area.
Non-Commercial Users
Reduced charges may be available for students, researchers, charitable organisations, recording groups and other non-commercial users. Requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis and supporting information may be required.
A minimum fee of £90.00 normally applies where staff time is required.
